Boko Haram Terrorists Surrender To Troops of Nigerian Army

By Balogun Damilola

The sustained offensive attacks by troops of Nigerian Army against terrorism in the North East is now yielding desired results as Boko Haram terrorists are beginning to give up their arms and surrender to the dogged soldiers.

Two members of Boko Haram terrorists came out from Bula Bello and Yerimari Gana and surrendered to Nigerian Army troops of 21 SAB Garrison that were deployed at Bama. The voluntary surrender of the agents of terror occurred on Thursday, April 23, 2020 within the Sector AOR.

The two surrendered terrorists were thereafter handed over to 21SAB Military Intelligence Regiment. Meanwhile, the terrorists have revealed during preliminary investigation that they opted to willingly surrender due to the sustained military operations of Nigerian Army troops by land and air.

It is worth noting that the recalibrated war on insurgency in the North Eastern part of Nigeria may just come to an end any time soon as the merchants of terrors no longer have any hiding place.
