COVID-19: Abuja based businessman and philanthropist Ayodeji Adewole gives palliative support to Akure residents

An Abuja based businessman and philanthropist, Ayodeji Adewole aka Major dee motors have given palliative support of cash and food items to the people of Ward 11 in Akure South Local Government in a quest to cushion the effect of coronavirus pandemic on them.

Although the current interstate lockdown may have prevented Adewole from being physically present in Akure, however, he still managed to make provisions for the distributed cash gifts and food items.

Major dee who is a member of APC in ward 11 Akure south Local Government said the palliative distribution gesture was borne out of his resolve to offer to help hand to the needy in his Ward. He also added that the gesture was informed by the need to complement the efforts being made by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to ameliorate the pang of hunger in Ondo State during the period of subsisting lockdown.

The philanthropist gave cash gifts of #5,000 each to twenty-five persons while 30 persons received cash gifts of #2,000 each. Also, Also 55 households from all d units inward 11 benefited from the food items shared. Meanwhile, some beneficiaries of the palliative distribution have expressed their appreciation to Major Dee for reaching out to them at such a crucial time.

However, Major Dee has charged the people of his Ward to always stick to the prescribed preventive hygiene on coronavirus pandemic and has promised to continue to support Akure indigents especially the widows and vulnerable with monthly stipends to alleviate their sufferings through his foundation Major dee Foundation. He also called on well-meaning indigenes of Akure to support the Arakunrin Akeredolu Government to achieve his objectives in moving Ondo state to the next level
