BOKOHARAM FIELD COMMANDER SURRENDER TO NIGERIAN ARMY TROOPS IN MONGONU
Due to the ongoing offensive operations against insurgents by the military, a 25yrs old BokoHaram field commander in the LakeChad axis has Surrender with his personal rifle to the troops of the Nigerian Army Super Camp in Mongonu. He led various attacks including the last attack on Baga Town that was repelled.
The surrendered BokoHaram field commander reportedly disclosed that many of their colleagues are wandering in the forest and willing to give themselves.
The relocation of the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen TY Buratai to the frontline and the renewed offensive actions by the troops against their enclaves leading to high casualties on their foot soldiers amidst serious dislocation of their command structures has forced some BokoHaram/ISWAP fighters to start thinking of surrendering personally to the Nigerian Army without the permission of their leaders.
