Buhari again warns bandits: Surrender or face violent end
President Muhammadu Buhari has warned bandits to either surrender or face “disgraceful and violent end.”
Buhari gave the warning on Thursday night during a meeting at the State House, Abuja, with Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State.
The President, in a statement issued yesterday by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, said bandits, who had committed crimes against innocent citizens in the state, and across the country, would not be spared.
He said more decisive military operations against them in Zamfara, Sokoto, Niger, Katsina and Kaduna states would be undertaken.
Buhari assured the people and government of Katsina State of renewed efforts and review of operations to improve the security of lives and property in the state and other parts of the country.
He used the opportunity to condole with Governor Masari over the loss of lives from attacks by bandits, which included the District Head of Yantumaki, Alhaji Atiku Maidabino, and APC Chairman in Batsari Local Government Council, Alhaji Abdulhamid Sani Duburawa.
