Troops of 192 Battalion deployed in Gwoza, Borno State have killed a large number of Boko Haram fighters in the course of aggressive clearance operations that was conducted on the Mandara Mountains at Kwatara in the early hours of June 8, 2020.
The valiant troops carried out a
well-coordinated commando raid on the hideout of Boko Haram terrorists with a tactical ascension to the summit of the mountain. The soldiers promptly took over the Observation Posts of the Boko Haram criminals before they were fiercely engaged with superior fire power.
According to a statement made available on Tuesday by the Coordinator of Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche, it was stated that apart from the neutralized large number of Boko Haram terrorists, many of them scampered for safety with varying degrees of gunshot wounds.
