Army Troops Free 36 Captives From Boko Haram

Troops of the Army Super Camp 11 located at Gamboru in Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State have rescued 32 captives comprising of 16 women and 16 children from the captivity of Boko Haram during a clearance operation conducted on Kusumu and Warshele Villages in the early hours of June 14, 2020.

It was gathered that the troops discovered that the located sites were being used by Boko Haram terrorists as their logistics base.

It was further gathered that 13 of the criminal elements were neutralized during an encounter with Boko Haram elements in the clearance operation.

Moreso, the troops also cleared
Kumo, Diime and Sabori where some marauding Boko Haram criminals hibernating in the general area were engaged.

Items captured from the terrorists include 21 locally made guns, 2 dane guns, one sniper rifle, one 36 hand grenade, one improvised explosive device bomb and 2 Boko Haram flags. Other items captured from insurgents by the troops include 5 cutlasses, one digger, one spear, 5 bicycles, 3 motorcycles, 5 carts, 2 loud hailers and one Lister generator.
