Funke Akindele Advocates Appreciation of Nigerian Army

Nigerian Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele Bello who is popularly known as Jenifa has embarked on an appreciation advocacy for the officers and men of Nigerian Army.

The appreciation campaign advocacy was revealed by Funke Akindele in her popular soap opera, Jenifa’s Diary. The comical actress admonished Nigerians to always show appreciation to the military personnel for not allowing insurgents to have overran the country. She also showered appreciation on the military for the sacrifices of abandoning their families and putting their lives on the line while protecting the citizens from the posed security threats by Boko Haram terrorists.

Akindele was seen in a scene of her Jenifa’s Diary where she appealed to some customers that were waiting on a queue in a supermarket for payment to give preference to an army officer who also wanted to make payment.
She described the gesture as the least way Nigerians could show genuine appreciation to the military personnel for their efforts to keep the country safe.

In another scene of Jenifa’s Diary, Funke Akindele also showered appreciation on the same army officer because of the demands of military profession. She said in the video scene that quite a number of military personnel had even paid the supreme price in the course of protecting defenceless Nigerian citizens in the North East.

Meanwhile, the actress has therefore appealed to Nigerians to regularly shower appreciation on the valiant officers and men of Nigerian Army for their sacrificial bravery in the counter terrorism and counter insurgency operations in the North East.
