Army Rescues 700 Abductees From Terrorists In North Central

 

Nigerian Army 4 Special Forces Command that is located in Doma, Nasarawa State have rescued 700 abducted family members from a new terrorist sect of Durul Islam and Boko Haram in the North Central region of the country. The Special Forces have also killed several members of new terror group and equally destroyed the camps of Durul Islam and Boko Haram elements in Nassarawa and Kogi States.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai has therefore congratulated and commended the commander, officers and all the gallant troops of the Special Forces for a successful operation over the new terror element of Durul Islam and also Boko Haram in the North Central region of Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Monday, August 31, 2020 by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sagir Musa, the Chief of Army Staff applauded the
hard work and resilience of the troops in addition to the supports given by Nigerian Navy and Air Force. He also commended the gallantry of other security agencies that also led to the destruction of the camps of terrorists as well as their hideouts in Kogi and Nasarawa States.

Meanwhile, General Burutai has
also charged the Special Forces not to ever allow criminals and insurgents any foothold in the whole of the North Central zone. He also further charged the troops to continue with the domination of the area as well as maintaining high standard of professionalism. Burutai also added that terrorists must never again be allowed any breathing space or freedom of action to execute their evil activities.

The Chief of Army Staff has however assured the troops of continuous necessary support that will enable them continue with the good work as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
