Six die, seven injured in Ondo accident
Six persons were on Wednesday night confirmed dead in a multiple road accident along the Ilesa-Akure highway.
The accident was said to have occurred at Igbara Oke axis, headquarters of Ifedore Local Government Area.
Seven other persons were seriously injured in the accident that involved three vehicles, a Toyota Haice bus marked EPE 545 YA, a truck marked 252 XY and a Toyota Corolla marked FST 768 DU.
Spokesperson for the Ondo Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mrs. Tola Ogunbanwo, said the accident was caused by lack of concentration on the drivers of the vehicles involved.
She said the victims were taken to the General Hospital, Igbara Oke while the remains of the deceased were deposited at the morgue of the hospital.
