Ondo 2020: Hon. Adefisoye Debunks False News, Promise To Declare Support For Preferred Governorship Candidate

Ahead of Ondo State governorship election, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye has promised to declare support for a preferred governorship as soon as he return from his overseas vacation. He also promised to meet with all the concerned stakeholders
in the federal constituency to collectively take a decision on the choice of a governorship candidate to support.

Adefisoye also doubly assured that overwhelming victory will certainly be delivered in Idanre and Ifedore for any governorship candidate that he and the stakeholders eventually decide to support.

This position was made by Adefisoye through a press statement released by his Senior Legislative Aide, Richard Adeyemi on Friday. The statement also stated that the re-election endorsement picture of Akeredolu that is currently being circulated on social media was a photoshop material.

The statement read in parts, “Nothing could be further from the truth than this wicked rumour. Truth is no such picture was taken with Governor Akeredolu in recent time as Hon. Adefisoye is on overseas vocation at the moment. Therefore someone that is not in Nigeria at the moment could not have taken any picture of endorsement with Arakunrin Akeredolu”.

Meanwhile, Adefisoye has also debunked the news that he collected N10 million from Governor Akeredolu to withdraw from the recently conducted council election in Ondo State.

“It is also important to debunk the unfounded information being bandied around that Hon. Adefisoye collected N10 million to withdraw the participation of SDP from the council election in Idanre Local Government Area. This rumor is quite ridiculous because it is a public knowledge that SDP chose to opt out of the council election in Idanre to avoid further blood shed and loss of properties in the town.

“Moreso, it is a fact that Hon. Adefisoye is a successful businessman with a massive war chest. The rumour of N10 million bribe is laughable and therefore portends an insult on the person on Hon. Adefisoye”.

Adefisoye has therefore advised the supporters of APC to do away with the posting of manipulated materials and await his next political step.

“Supporters of APC are enjoined to refrain from dishing out photoshop pictures and await official statement from Hon. Adefisoye”, the statement added.
