Sunday Asefon has emerged as the new president of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS). The 45-Year-Old civil servant with the Ekiti State Government got 155 votes to defeat his closest rival, Olushola Oladoja, who scored 100 votes at a convention held at the old parade ground, Abuja on Thursday. The convention was reportedly marred by violence leading to at least 20 students sustaining different degrees of injuries. Asefon replaces Danielson Bamidele Akpan who was impeached over alleged corruption.
