S/West PDP: Makinde Gradually Losing Ondo As Another Ondo Senator Joins Fayose Camp
Senator representing Ondo Central, Ayo Akinyelure visited former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose in his Lagos residence yesterday to pledge his support to the Fayose political leadership.
Akinyelure’s support for Fayose is coming after Senator Nicholas Tofowomo, representing Ondo South District in the National Assembly led a delegation of prominent members of the party to pay a solidarity visit to Fayose.
As power tussle within People’s Democratic Party continues in southwest and the zonal congress fast approaching, ex governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose is said to be adding political bigwigs and elected politicians into his camp.
Ondo is the second state reportedly belonged to governor Seyi Makinde, but in two weeks, his camp had lost two currently serving senators to Fayose camp.
Among the Ondo PDP delegation that had earlier visited Fayose to pledge loyalty and support were, Chief Eddy Olafeso, former House of Representatives member, Lad Ojomo, ex-House of Assembly member, Niyi Ogunboye, Chief Ibini Oyedele, Chief Tunde Akindehin, Pastor Larry Ogunmusere, Ife Akinsoyinu, Sola Ebiwonjumi, Olusola Adewo, Adeolu Akinseye and Ebenezer Alabi.
