OPINION: Can APC win back the majority NASS seats in Ondo in 2023? by @EmiolaOlamidun
Well, it may be too early to call, but it is looking increasingly possible. and the party’s likeliest path to achieving this is to pick up new and young candidates and retain some of the few good old ones who have identified with the people over the years and have a proven track record of performance and brilliance. It is not a test to reward incompetence no matter the years spent at NASS, what matters most in the coming election is impact. What have you done as a private citizen and a public office holder?
We all know the most vulnerable lawmaker in Ondo state presently with a dossier of leadership and representation deficit. Such person should be told to bow out honourably especially after spending a decade at NASS.
He may have escaped loss by a whisker in 2019, he is not going to get that lucky again in the next election, even at the primaries. Especially with obvious failure.
What we should be pushing for right now is character, brilliance, young and agile and record of performance.
