In his opening speech, a social media influencer and youth advocate, Oluyemi Fasipe popularly known as Yemie Fash said it is high time youths showed more interest in politics.

Fasipe who is the Co-convener of the programme said, “we all know that things are not going on well in this country. The economy is extremely hard and people are suffering.

“So, the youth must be ready to participate in politics by collecting their PVCs and making use of it on election day. We cannot continue to be social media critiques only.

“We should be part of the electoral process from the beginning to the end. We have to take the centre stage and change the narrative.

The convener, Olusegun Akinsehinde urged youths to mobilise for the 2023 elections, by voting and monitoring their votes.

He added that the programme was organised to create awareness and make young eligible voters see reasons to be at the forefront of bringing the desired change to the country.
