EPL: We’ll try – Norwich make promise to Arsenal ahead of Tottenham tie

Norwich City boss, Dean Smith appears to have made a huge promise to Arsenal and their fans ahead of the Premier League last game of the season on Sunday.

Tottenham need just one point against Norwich to secure a top four finish, while Arsenal will need to beat Everton, hoping that Smith’s men will shock Spurs.

And Smith has said his side are bent on beating Tottenham on Sunday, a result that will favour Arsenal if they are able to overcome Everton.

The race for the final Champions League spot has come down to the final day, with Tottenham and Arsenal in the mix for the final spot, and Norwich are the kingmakers.

Arsenal in fifth are two points behind rivals Spurs, meaning only a Norwich victory would stop Antonio Conte’s Tottenham holding onto fourth.

Smith, addressing his last pre-match press conference of the season, said, “No, no extra motivation,” he said when asked about the key fixture.

“It’s our last home game of the season, last Premier League game of the season and I’ve said before that we’ll try and win the football game because we want to get points.”
