Activist and convener of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju has asked popular singer and aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olubankole Wellington, aka Banky W, to resign from the party and join the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Social Democratic Party (SDP) or Labour Party (LP).
Yemiefash Media reports that there are rumours Banky W would eventually not be given the PDP ticket to represent Eti-Osa federal constituency, Lagos, in respect of the 2023 general elections.
This is coming days after Banky W was previously declared the winner to represent the party as its House of Representatives candidate in the upcoming 2023 elections.
Adeyanju insinuated that the PDP does not deserve Banky W, as “all they care about is money”.
“Dear @BankyW, please resign from PDP and go to NNPP, Labour Party or SDP. PDP the dollars parry cannot change. All they care about is money,” Adeyanju, a former Youth Leader of the PDP, wrote on his known Twitter handle on Thursday.
In a similar vein, Banky W supporters online advised him to purchase an interest form from another political party.
