ADEGOROYE LEADS NIGERIAN DELEGATION TO GAMBIA FOR PORT STATE CONTROL CONFERENCE
The Honourable Minister of State for Transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, at the weekend led the Nigerian delegation to the 4th Ministerial Conference and 12th Committee meeting of the Port State Control for West and Central African Region, generally known as Abuja MoU, holding in Banjul, Gambia.
The Abuja MoU was established on 22nd October 1999 as an inter-governmental organization comprising of the Maritime Administrations of countries abutting the Atlantic coast of Africa.
At the sideline of the main event on Saturday, Nigeria’s Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo, presented naval honours plaque to the Honourable Minister.
Those on the team of the Minister at the event included the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Mrs Magdalene Ajani, the Director, Maritime Safety and Administration, Mr Babatunde Bombatta and the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister, Mr Fola Aiyegbusi.
