2023: I am confident I will win the Ondo Central Senatorial Ticket- @TolaAwosika

Dr. Tola Awosika, a Senatorial Aspirant in Ondo State on friday said he has the capacity to change the narration of improving the welfare of his people if elected during the 2023 general election to represent Ondo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He expressed confidence that he would emerge the candidate of the party and remains Aspirant to beat in the forthcoming All Progressives Congress, APC, primaries in the state.

Awosika who stated this on Friday during a Media Parley in Akure, the state capital, pointed that he joined politics to impact positively on his people.

When asked if he would dump the APC for another party if not picked at the primaries, the American Trained Senatorial Aspirant assured that he was not thinking of that as an option since he would emerge the APC candidate despite old politicians in the race against him.

The 36-year-old philanthropist and Businessman, who is a grandson of the nation’s first Finance Minister, Dr Festus Okotie-Eboh, said the reason he joined politics was to ensure proper representation, good governance and be accountable to the people of the state.

While noting that politics is tough and unique, Awosika said he’s resilient, ready and capable of seeing the process through.

Speaking on anointed candidates by the Ondo State Governor for some selected positions, Awosika said Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has assured aspirants of level playing field at the party’s primaries.

The private businessman turned politician said Ondo state is well positioned in the south west as it is the only oil producing state in the southwest.

He said the state is blessed with natural resources, hence the need to harness untapped sectors in order to convert economic prosperity for the people.

Awosika said if elected, he would seek collaboration with Osun and Ekiti State sharing borders with the central Senatorial district.

“For me, that is the driving force for getting involved in mainstream politics. I believe the indigenes of Ondo State will be willing to accept their sons and daughters in the interest of a better society.

“We need to ensure our people are empoweed with jobs, skills, good infrastructures, education and healthcare.

“We have toured the Senatorial districts and we have identified and seen a lot of things to be done, fixed an done in different ways.

“We will create businesses, institutions, sectors that would make the youth more responsible and productive for the society.”

He thanked the people of Ondo central for believing in him and supporting him.
