The Okpanam community in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State has applauded governor Ifeanyi Okowa for approving N1.9 billion counterpart funding for Amachai/Igwogwo road to Akwuku Igbo and Ogbeozoma road/erosion site control.

The Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor, Amb. Felix Ideh, who stated this during door to door campaign on Sunday, called on the community to vote en-masse to the PDP candidate, Sheriff Oborevwori, on the March 18 governorship election.

He said, “I want to let you know Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has approved the sum of N1.9 billion for the counterpart funding of Amachai/Igwogwo road to Akwuku Igbo and erosion site control, Ogbeozoma road/erosion site control and Obodogba area erosion control among other.

“This projects would be financed and constructed by the world Bank and European Investment Bank.

“Amachai Quarters and Okpanam community in general embrace and support the positive vision of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party by voting en mass for Oborevwori in the March 18.

“This door to door campaign is to inform you again that Oborevwori will sustain the developmental strides of Okowa led administration not only in the Okpanam but the state at large”

He noted that the community had benefitted immensely from the Okowa administration in the area of road infrastructure, upgrading of schools and human capital development, as well as political appointments.
