Dynamic Brothers’ Club Inaugurates New Executives, Bids Farewell to Pioneer Leaders: Keynote Speech by Akinbode Akinluyi
In a Keynote Address delivered by the Pioneer of the Dynamic Brothers Club in Akure Ondo State, Mr Akinbode Akinluyi expressed fulfillment as the chapter embarks on an exciting phase, inaugurating fresh cohort of executives while bidding farewell to its esteemed pioneer leaders.
This significant event marks a momentous milestone in the club’s history, as it welcomes new leaders to guide its future endeavors and acknowledges the invaluable contributions of its outgoing pioneers.
A KEYNOTE ADDRESS DELIVERED BY AKINBODE AKINLUYI,PIONEER MAYOR OF DYNAMIC BROTHERS’ CLUB ON THE OCCASION OF THE OUTGOING CEREMONY OF THE PIONEER EXECUTIVES AND THE SWEARING-IN OF NEW EXECUTIVES AT THE CLUB SECRETARTIAT ALONG OBA-ILE ROAD AKURE ON THE 25TH OF JUNE, 2023.
Protocol
I stand before you all today to say I am fulfilled seeing what is happening today. This is because the gathering and friendship of different persons and personalities which started like play years ago has finally crystallized into a Baobab tree of the small seed and no doubt has the semblance of the age even though the club is still at his prime.
In the Christian holy book, according to Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 it says ‘For everything there is a season, and a time, for every purpose under heaven…..The time has come to leave the stage for another set of people to take this club to another level. Permit to let you all know that uneasy lies the head that wears the crown, this is not new, but when you look at the retinue of responsibilities and issues that your attention and response deserves in order to brow a Dynamic club like ours it is indeed not an easy task, taking some hard decisions in face of criticism,abuse, verbal attack it is also not easy at all, or to choose between two bad options.
Fellow brothers, the journey started two years and few months back, it was as if this day will not come but here we are together as brothers despite the corrections, suggestions and criticisms waxing stronger as a family. I am not saying I have arrived as it is common in the Nigeria parlance, but I take solace in the holy book once again that I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me as said by Apostle Paul.
Distinguish members of dynamic Brothers’ club, the challenge of getting a place after the unceremonious exit from Trade Fair was high on my mind, majorly because the club has bonded and the string and the umbilical cord was about to be severed by the challenge of that time. In constant discussion with my EXCOs and other members of this noble club we got where we are today and so many achievements have followed as it is visible to all.
I make bold to say that all decisions I have taken as the Mayor of this club was made in the best interest of all without an iota of doubt, I have never thought on the contrary that such would be to the detriment of the club. I use this medium to appeal to any member that may be dissatisfied with my style of leadership to kindly accept me as I am because that is the way my creator has wired me. I choose to respect opinion but when I see some that may not be in tune with my belief I keep to myself and go ahead to do that thing I believe in no matter how difficult ,Listed below are some of the achievements made under my leadership as the pioneer of Dynamic Brothers’ Club;
i. Relocation of the members to a befitting location upon the unceremonious exit from Trade fair Complex, Igbatoro Road.
ii. Supported and ensure the foundation constitution was reviewed and passed for the implementation of the club within two years.
iii. Strategically ensure the generation of revenue to the purse of the club through the vendors operation at the Club secretariat. This is to find alternative means to raise funds apart from the statutory membership dues.
iv. Under my leadership, the club was registered with Corporate Affairs Commission and registration number issued to this effect.
v. In order to streamline the financial activities of the club, bank account was open to enhance the transparency of funds withdrawal with other members of Executive as signatories.
vi. Erection of fence to with concrete blocks and bamboo to cordon off the leased part of the location for the use of the club.
However let me use this special occasion to appreciate all my fellow executives members for their support.
At this juncture, I wish the newly inaugurated Executives a good fortune in taking the club to another greater height however, it is my hope that you will take everybody along and instances where there is an unwilling member kindly disregard the personality as the saying goes’ majority has the supreme power.
