The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has called on President Bola Tinubu to fire the Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, over his failure to deal with the electricity issues confronting the nation.

Primate Ayodele made this call in a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, on Tuesday, noting if there is regular power supply the problems of Nigeria eill be minimal.

He observed that a stable electricity supply will help reduce the impact of economic hardship on the citizens.

The cleric stated that Adelabu has not in any way helped the situation of the country in his capacity.

He said, “Tinubu should sack the minister of power, Bayo Adelabu if he wants to reform the power sector.

“State of emergency should be declared in that sector because nothing is happening. If there’s power supply, this hardship will be minimal.”

Commenting on the issue of state policing, Primate Ayodele admonished Tinubu to increase the salaries of soldiers and policemen before embarking on state policing if he wants it to work.

‘’You should also increase the salaries of our soldiers, police officers before we embark on state policing if we want it to work. It’s a good initiative and indeed, what is needed in the country but we need to go through the normal process to avoid failure of a good initiative like this,” he said.

The man of God enjoined every state to assist the Federal Government by supporting Agriculture across the country.

He stressed that tackling the issue of hunger will help reduce so much burden on the Federal Government.

‘’Every state should look for ways to help the federal government by supporting agriculture nationwide. Let us solve the issue of hunger before dollars kills us. The resources we have in every state should be adequately used for the people,” he added.
