Lagos building collapses after fire outbreak
A structure among the five buildings engulfed by flames at Dosumu Market, located off Idumagbo in Lagos, collapsed on Tuesday.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the collapse was attributed to the impact of the inferno.
Ibrahim Farinloye, Lagos territorial coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), said this in a short statement on Tuesday in Lagos.
However, he said the cause of the fire was unknown and that an investigation was ongoing to determine it.
“The firefighters are battling to put out the inferno”, he said.
