Warn your children not to commit crimes, Ekiti CP tells parents
Ekiti State Police Commissioner, Akinwale Adeniran, has urged parents and guardians to caution their children against behaviors that could disrupt the Eid-el-Fitr festivities or disturb the prevailing peace in the state.
The statement, released by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Sunday Abutu, on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti, disclosed this message.
In his message of goodwill to the Muslim community, the police commissioner reassured the public of adequate security measures during and after the celebrations.
He also instructed area commanders, divisional police officers, and heads of tactical and intelligence units to enhance security preparations in anticipation of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The police chief also directed his men to ensure the deployment of adequate operatives to all strategic points and places of celebrations across the state.
He implored the Muslim faithful to use the celebration period to pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity and progress.
The commissioner reaffirmed the command’s relentless efforts to rid the state of criminal elements and ensure maximum security of lives and property.
He stated that those found wanting would be made to face the full wrath of the law.
