Arson: Assembly seeks synergy among security agencies in Ondo East LG
The Ondo State House of Assembly has issued a strong directive to security agencies in Ondo East Local Government to bolster security measures and prevent any potential lawlessness.
Speaker Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, accompanied by several members, conveyed this message during a meeting with local security leaders in his office.
The call to action was communicated through a press statement by Olatunji Oshati, Chairman of the House Committee on Information.
The Assembly responded to recent cases of arson in the area by emphasizing the need for concerted efforts to prevent future incidents.
Furthermore, Oladiji urged security forces to enhance collaboration and operate cohesively to achieve effective results. He also stressed the importance of conducting thorough investigations into both immediate triggers and underlying causes of the regrettable events.
He further, explained that it is only in an atmosphere of peace that a meaningful development can take place, saying that anybody that disrupts peace in the area would be made to face the full wrath of law .
Describing the people in the area as hardworking and business oriented, Oladiji called for a peaceful coexistence among them as such would bring about more developments.
“The Council area is known for peace.Our people go about their normal daily businesses without rancour and that is why they must continue to live together as a family,”he said.
The Speaker later, expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State, Hon.Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the existing peace in the State, assuring that no stone would be left unturned to sustain it.
