Ondo govt trains pre-paid meters installers ahead of distribution on Tuesday

The Ondo State Power Company in collaboration with Meter Access Providers is set to train no fewer than 500 meter installers ahead of the flag off and distribution of pre-paid meters to residents of the state.

The move is to ensure that the installation of the pre-paid meters across the state is smooth and hitch-free.

Speaking with newsmen in Akure, the Special Adviser to Governor on Energy, Engr. Johnson Alabi, said the training was part of the instructions by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to ensure that the exercise is carried out professionally.

The Special Adviser said the proposed training programme for 500 installers was to ensure that the meters are installed appropriately for optimal and excellent performance for the benefit of the citizenry.

Mr. Alabi reiterated the commitment of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to improving electricity infrastructure and supply throughout the state for a better economy, assuring that all structures and processes have been put in place for a hitch-free exercise.

He expressed optimism that the challenges facing electricity consumers in the state, especially those on estimated billing would become a thing of the past with the intervention of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

A statement by the Head, Info & Media Unit, Debbie Funmilayo, said the distribution of pre-paid meters will be flagged off in Akure by the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Tuesday.
