NSCDC detains two suspected armed robbers
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command, has detained two suspected armed robbers.
This is contained in a statement on Thursday in Kano State by the state Corps Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi.
He said that the suspects, both in their 20s and natives of Rangaza Ungogo Local Government Area, Kano, were arrested on September 30, on the Eastern bye- pass, Hotoro near Mohiba Filling Station, Kano.
“The suspects were arrested on the same date at about 1:00 a.m., by a patrol team of the Corps attached to Area F Command,” Mr Idris-Abdullahi.
He said that weapons recovered from the suspects included one locally made gun, knife and a cutlass.
He stated, “Effort is being made to apprehend two other accomplices who are still at large. Investigation revealed that the suspects are into armed robbery, phone snatching and drug dealing among others.”
Mr Idris-Abdullahi said that the suspects had been terrorising residents of Hadejia Road and Dakata, Kano State.
He said that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
