NOA to embark on nationwide sensitisation on new national anthem
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) says it will embark on a nationwide sensitisation on the new national anthem and Nigeria’s national values charter.
In a statement on Friday, Kaduna NOA’s spokesman, Abubakar Argungu, emphasised that the new national anthem, as signed into law by President Bola Tinubu, is one of the most important symbols of Nigeria’s sovereignty, which should be accorded respect, internalised and cherished at all times.
He explained that the state’s office of NOA intends to embark on a statewide sensitisation over the next three months on all the official symbols of Nigeria’s sovereignty.
Mr Argungu said it was to ensure standardisation and the recently introduced National Values Charter.
The spokesman said the sensitisation would involve town hall meetings, advocacy visits to critical stakeholders, primary/secondary schools, tertiary institutions, road shows and media engagements.
He recalled the agency’s director general’s statement, saying Mr Tinubu’s government, in line with its renewed hope agenda, had initiated several policies to address Nigeria’s economic and social challenges.
Mr Argungu mentioned some key policies, including the student loan scheme, the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund and the redirection of removed fuel subsidy funds towards more sustainable economic initiatives.
According to him, the policies were all in a bid to move the country forward.
He, therefore, urged Nigerians to key into all the various government’s economic and social intervention programs.
