BREAKING: Former Kaduna Gov’s son dies in car accident

Faisal Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, the eldest son of Senator Ahmed Makarfi, former Governor of Kaduna State, has passed away following a fatal car crash.

According to a family insider, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the accident took place on Saturday evening along the Kaduna-Zaria expressway.

“The crash occurred on the Kaduna-Zaria highway earlier this evening. Faisal was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on arrival. His father was present at the hospital, and arrangements for the burial are now underway,” the source disclosed.

Faisal, a trained engineer, started his educational journey at Kaduna International School before attending Adesoye College in Offa, Kwara State, for his secondary education.

He went on to study at the University of Greenwich, London, where he earned both his undergraduate and master’s degrees, and had recently commenced a PhD program at the same institution.

Attempts to reach Senator Makarfi, who once served as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for comment were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
