Honourable Olutayo Yomi Victor, popularly known as ‘Daddy Billions’, played a pivotal role in the election success of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, during the recently concluded Ondo State governorship election.

Through a combination of strategic support, community outreach, and heavy mobilization, Daddy Billions was instrumental in securing Aiyedatiwa’s and the All Progressives Congress (APC) victory in the Akoko South West Local Government Area (LGA), one of the critical voting area with 15 Wards in the state

A few days before the election, Daddy Billions made a generous donation of 50 bags of rice to the Ebo, Owake, and Ayegunle communities in the Akoko South West.

The donation was warmly received by the residents, many of whom expressed their gratitude, noting that the gesture came at a time when they were most in need, especially with the economic pressures leading up to the election.

But Daddy Billions didn’t stop at food aid. He went above and beyond by holding multiple meetings with influential political leaders across Akoko South West, ensuring that they remained firmly aligned with Aiyedatiwa’s campaign.

In these meetings, he emphasized unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and actively encouraged party members to resist the allure of offers from rival political parties, particularly the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who were attempting to sway key APC figures.

In addition to these efforts, Daddy Billions took strategic steps to enhance Aiyedatiwa’s visibility and public presence.

He personally funded the erection of several billboards across key locations in the state. In Akure, three billboards were prominently displayed, while additional billboards were set up in Akungba-Akoko (three), Supare-Akoko (one), Ose Iwaro-Oka (one), and Oka-Akoko (two).

His efforts ensured that Aiyedatiwa’s image was front and centre in the region, helping to solidify his appeal among the electorate.

Daddy Billions also distributed a significant number of promotional materials. He personally provided 3,000 campaign posters, which were strategically placed throughout Akoko South West LGA, boosting Aiyedatiwa’s visibility and creating widespread awareness of his candidacy.

In addition, he distributed 1,500 branded caps to APC party members, which served as both a show of support and a means to mobilize the party faithful during the election period.

Perhaps one of the most significant contributions Daddy Billions made to the campaign was his financial support for APC local government meetings.

Recognizing the importance of grassroots engagement, he made substantial financial contributions to ensure that party meetings were well-funded, well-attended, and effective in rallying support for Aiyedatiwa’s candidacy.

His strategic financial backing was crucial in keeping the momentum going throughout the election period, particularly in the lead-up to election day.

Daddy Billions’ comprehensive support for Aiyedatiwa paid off when the election results were announced.

His mobilization efforts, combined with his community outreach and political influence, were key to securing Aiyedatiwa’s resounding victory in Akoko South West, helping to solidify his position as the next Governor of Ondo State.

With his significant contributions to the campaign, Daddy Billions has earned recognition as one of the key political influencers in the state, proving that strategic political mobilization and community engagement can make all the difference in a highly competitive election.
