In a continued effort to uplift the people of Ifedore Local Government Area in Ondo State, the Chief Executive Officer of Oyin’s Foundation, Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye, has distributed relief and palliative materials worth millions of naira. This initiative aligns with her commitment over the past five years to improve the lives of the community.
The empowerment event, held in Ijare town, featured the distribution of nearly 35 grinding machines, 10 industrial sewing machines, standing fans, 120 mattresses, cooking pots, stoves, buckets, blankets, sleeping mats, and various food items. These efforts were personally overseen by Olori Aroloye, who was accompanied by her husband, Hon. Prince Aroloye.
Speaking at the event, Olori Aroloye, who also serves as a Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, reaffirmed her dedication to supporting the less privileged in the area. She noted that the empowerment and food intervention program demonstrate the foundation’s commitment to compassion and solidarity, especially during challenging economic times.
“This initiative is a crucial step towards alleviating the economic challenges faced by many families in our nation,” Olori Aroloye stated. She also highlighted the importance of showing generosity and compassion during the Christmas season and called on all stakeholders to support efforts to combat hunger.
Olori Aroloye emphasized that this is a yearly initiative by Oyin’s Foundation, which has consistently spearheaded empowerment and relief material distribution programs over the last five years.
Speaking on behalf of the state government, Special Assistant on Mobilisation, Erelu Olayemi Ajonibode, praised Olori Aroloye for her unwavering support for the people of Ifedore. She called on other wealthy individuals to emulate her exemplary efforts in providing palliatives to cushion the harsh economic realities.
“I lack adequate words to express my heartfelt gratitude to Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye for this noble gesture. Her efforts will undoubtedly alleviate the burdens of many families facing economic hardship in our state,” Ajonibode said.
The Women Leader of Isarun Erigi Ward, speaking on behalf of other women leaders, commended Olori Aroloye for prioritizing the welfare of the people over personal gain. “Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye has chosen a unique path, caring for the vulnerable and extending her kind gestures to those at the bottom of the pyramid. Her commitment to helping others is truly inspiring,” she said.
The Chairman of Ijare Ward 2, Owoeye Moyioluwa, highlighted the importance of leadership during tough times and urged others to follow Olori Aroloye’s example. “This empowerment and relief program reflects the foundation’s dedication to addressing the effects of economic hardship and supporting the most vulnerable,” he added.
Hon. Niran Adu, a political leader in the area, described Oyin’s Foundation as a credible NGO that ensures its interventions reach the most vulnerable individuals across all ten wards of the local government. “The foundation operates with a vision of empowering people to achieve their full potential, regardless of their circumstances,” Adu noted.
The President of the Ijare National Students Union also lauded Oyin’s Foundation, revealing that its work often goes unpublicized. “In previous years, the foundation has provided financial support to women for their businesses and other initiatives. This year, the foundation decided to publicize its activities to inspire others to join the cause,” the president said.
Through this empowerment program, Oyin’s Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to alleviating the challenges faced by the Ifedore community while encouraging others to extend similar acts of kindness and support.
