BREAKING: Chiamaka Nnadozie Named CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year

Nigerian Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has made history again, claiming the prestigious CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award at the 2024 CAF Awards in Marrakech, Morocco.

This recognition solidifies Nnadozie’s status as one of the world’s top goalkeepers, following an exceptional year of match-winning performances for both Paris FC and the Super Falcons.

Nnadozie’s outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s successful 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and Paris FC’s remarkable UEFA Women’s Champions League run earned her global acclaim. Her heroics in penalty shootouts were particularly noteworthy.

Overjoyed, Nnadozie dedicated her award to young girls everywhere, saying, “This is for every girl who dares to dream. I’m honored to represent Nigeria and Africa. This award reflects my hard work, resilience, and the incredible support from my teammates and coaches.”

The Nigeria Football Federation has congratulated Nnadozie on her achievement, as reported by PUNCH Online.
