A Magistrate Court in Ilesa, Osun State, has ruled that Miss Rhoda Adu must pay ₦150,000 in damages to her boyfriend, Olapitan Sola, for accepting ₦3,000 as transport fare and failing to fulfill her promise to visit him.

The case gained attention after being shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @DejiAdesogan. According to the post, the court delivered the judgment following a complaint filed by Olapitan.

The viral post quoted the court’s decision: “Miss Rhoda Adu is to pay ₦150,000 damages for breaching an agreement after receiving ₦3,000 as transport fare but failing to honor her promise to visit.”
