Popular philanthropist, Ewatomilola Emiola honored with excellence award
The 30th anniversary celebration of ECWA Group of Schools, Alagbaka, Akure, was marked by grandeur as Honorable Ewatomilola Emiola Owoeye, former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on Research and Documentation, received an Award of Excellence on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
Elder S.K. Ariyo, Chairman of the Anniversary Planning Committee, praised the awardee’s dedication to service, emphasizing that her efforts have not gone unnoticed.
“Your dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence have made a significant impact, and we are honored to recognize your contributions with this award,” he stated.
Speaking with Trumpet Magazine after the event, Hon. Owoeye expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that it serves as motivation to continue her efforts in societal development.
As the Chief Executive Officer of Ewatomilola Cares Initiative, she had earlier extended support to students of the school by distributing free exercise books and other learning materials.
She explained that this outreach is just one aspect of the initiative, which also focuses on supporting women, widows, widowers, and the less privileged.
Hon. Owoeye reaffirmed her commitment to promoting positive change in society and dedicated the award to her grandmother, Madam Emiola Fagbayide, whom she described as a strong influence in her philanthropic journey.
She also called on corporate leaders and well-meaning Nigerians to embrace Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a means of assisting the less privileged.
