Rivers pastor arrested for alleged homosexuality
A pastor identified as Elijah, the General Overseer of a new-generation church in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has been arrested by the police over allegations of homosexuality.
Sources indicate that Elijah was exposed through leaked videos showing him engaging in the act.
The footage was reportedly recorded by a man whom the pastor had approached with sexual advances.
In an attempt to gather evidence, the man played along, recorded the interaction, and later demanded sexual favors.
A source, who requested anonymity, said, “We don’t know how the Octopus Strike Force of the Rivers State police obtained the video, but they began tracking the pastor.
He was eventually arrested at one of his regular relaxation spots.”
During interrogation, the pastor allegedly provided useful information regarding his activities, which reportedly involved both adult males and minors within and outside Port Harcourt.
Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, Superintendent Grace Iringe-Koko, stated that the cleric was taken into custody last Friday and has since been charged in court.
“Yes, I can confirm the pastor’s arrest.
He is in custody and under investigation,” Iringe-Koko said.
