Hon. Barrister Aliyu Wakili Boya is a young, dynamic, and result-oriented politician, currently serving as the Member representing Fufore/Song Federal Constituency in the National Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Police Institutions.
A seasoned public administrator with over 20 years of experience in governance, legal practice, and public service, he has proven himself as a visionary leader committed to the socio-economic development of his constituency and Nigeria at large.
Born in Fufore Local Government Area, Adamawa State, Hon. Boya’s upbringing in a well-educated family, versed in both Islamic and Western education, shaped his strong moral compass and leadership acumen. His journey through various political and administrative positions has been marked by integrity, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to service.
His youthful leadership advantage means being a relatively young politician, He will bring energy, fresh ideas, and a modern approach to governance. Such leadership resonates with young people of Adamawa State, bridging the generational gap and ensuring progressive policies for future generations.
Understanding that economic empowerment is key to poverty alleviation, Hon. Boya prioritizes interventions that put money directly into the hands of his constituents. His strategic allocation of resources through scholarships, business start-up funds, and employment facilitation has significantly boosted local economic activities.
Unlike many politicians who operate from a distance, Hon. Boya remains deeply connected to his people. His policy of returning to his constituency every three months to assess progress and provide direct interventions ensures transparency and accountability.
Sponsoring key bills, including the establishment of Federal College of Health Technology, Song LGA, and Federal College of Education (Technical), Fufore LGA to enhance educational opportunities as well as employment opportunities is something only visionary leaders do and Hon. Boya shows he’s a good leader.
Facilitating the allocation of ₦20 billion for the rehabilitation of Jabbi Lamba – Malabu – Belel road, improving infrastructure and trade, as well as playing a pivotal role in Police Service reform as Chairman of the House Committee on Police Institutions stands him out as a leader with the future of his people at heart.
Distributed ₦30 million to 60 entrepreneurs, giving each ₦500,000 as start-up capital, as well as providing farming inputs, fertilizers, and irrigation equipment to over 1,800 farmers.
Facilitated the installation of over 3,000 solar-powered streetlights and 30 electricity transformers to improve security and economic activities, at the same time ensuring the training and empowerment of over 350 women and youths in entrepreneurship, ensuring financial independence.
Provided scholarships to over 2,000 tertiary students to ease the burden of education, and facilitated the employment of 136 youths into the Nigeria Police Force and three others into federal civil service. He also sponsored free eye surgeries for over 2,000 people, demonstrating his commitment to healthcare access.
With such unparalleled achievements without executive powers or a budget, this makes Hon. Boya’s accomplishments even more remarkable in that he has achieved all of these without executive powers or direct control over a budget. His ability to mobilize resources, influence policies, and facilitate life-changing programs purely through legislative influence, strategic partnerships, and personal commitment is a testament to his extraordinary leadership capacity.
Ponder this with me, imagine what he could accomplish with Executive powers and a budget? I mean if Hon. Boya could achieve so much as a legislator, one can only imagine the transformative impact he would have if given executive powers and a substantial budget. With direct control over government resources, he would be positioned to expand his economic empowerment programs, revolutionize infrastructure development, enhance education and healthcare services, and implement large-scale poverty alleviation initiatives through targeted agriculture revolution.
Though Hon. Boya has not declared any intention to vie for governor, his leadership track record makes it clear that he is one of the outstanding leaders from Adamawa Central who have the capacity to deliver good governance at the highest level. His deep understanding of governance, commitment to economic growth, and practical approach to leadership set him apart as a transformational leader capable of driving sustainable development in Adamawa State.
Hon. Barr. Aliyu Wakili Boya stands out as a leader of integrity, competence, and action. His ability to deliver tangible results without executive authority or a budget proves that he is not just another politician but a visionary problem-solver and a true servant of the people. Given greater responsibility, his leadership has the potential to redefine governance, uplift millions from poverty, and set a new standard for impactful leadership in Nigeria.
