On Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, Dr. Yerima Gashinbaki, the Founder, Pioneer President, and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN), extended warm Easter greetings to his team, hailing them as “professional forensic heroes” in the battle for a new Nigeria.

His message, themed “He is Risen,” underscored the institute’s pivotal role in curbing corruption and fostering justice across the nation.

Under Dr. Gashinbaki’s leadership, CIFCFIN—established under the 2022 Act—has emerged as a formidable force in Nigeria’s anti-corruption landscape.

The institute has been instrumental in training and certifying forensic experts and fraud investigators, equipping them with the tools to uncover financial crimes, trace illicit funds, and ensure accountability in both public and private sectors.

Gashinbaki’s vision has positioned CIFCFIN as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s efforts to dismantle systemic corruption, earning him widespread recognition as a relentless advocate for transparency.

“Professional forensic heroes! Your work matters for a new Nigeria,” Gashinbaki stated in his Easter message, wishing his team a “basket full of evidence and a season of truth and harvest of justice.”

This message reflects the institute’s ongoing commitment to rooting out corruption through evidence-based investigations and fostering a culture of integrity.

CIFCFIN’s impact under Gashinbaki’s stewardship is undeniable. The institute has collaborated with law enforcement agencies to investigate high-profile fraud cases, recover stolen assets, and strengthen regulatory frameworks.

Its training programs have empowered hundreds of professionals to tackle complex financial crimes, from money laundering to embezzlement, significantly enhancing Nigeria’s capacity to combat corruption at all levels.

Dr. Gashinbaki, a distinguished forensic accountant holding fellowships with both the Chartered Institute of Fraud Examiners (FCCFA) and CIFCFIN (FCCFI), has been lauded for his strategic leadership.

His emphasis on professionalism and ethical standards has not only elevated CIFCFIN’s reputation but also inspired a new generation of fraud investigators dedicated to justice.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with the challenges of corruption, Dr. Yerima Gashinbaki’s leadership offers a beacon of hope. Through CIFCFIN, he is sowing the seeds for a more transparent and accountable nation, proving that the fight against corruption is not just a necessity—it’s a mission that can transform Nigeria for the better.
