The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has announced plans to arraign three suspects in connection with a deadly attack on a Boys’ Brigade camp in Zhayidna Village, Orozo.

During the incident, one camper, identified as Johnson John, was reportedly killed.

The suspects—Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu—are all residents of Wasa Village in the Karshi area.

According to a statement released on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the suspects were tracked and arrested through digital analysis of the deceased’s mobile phones and other credible intelligence.

At the time of their arrest, police recovered three mobile phones from the suspects, two of which were confirmed to belong to the victim.

The suspects are currently in custody and will be formally charged in court following the conclusion of investigations.

“The FCT Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in its investigation into the tragic attack on the Boys’ Brigade camp, which led to the unfortunate death of Johnson John,” the statement read.

The arrest operation was led by CSP Mbang Usang, the Divisional Police Officer of Karshi Division.
