Tanzanian singer Juma Mkambala, better known as Juma Jux, was honored with the Best East African Artiste of the Year award at the 17th Headies Awards on Sunday.

Jux, who recently married Priscilla Ojo — daughter of Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo — in a lavish ceremony, has quickly won the hearts of many Nigerians with his music.

During the event, he thrilled the audience with performances of his hit tracks “God’s Design” and “Ololufe Mi,” adding a special touch to the night’s celebrations.

The Headies Awards, renowned for recognizing excellence in the Nigerian music scene, returned to Nigeria this year after being hosted for two consecutive editions in Atlanta, Georgia.
