Gunmen abduct farm manager in Kebbi

Unidentified gunmen have abducted a farm manager, Sani Ango, in what security officials have described as an isolated abduction incident in Kebbi State.

The kidnapping occurred around 2 a.m. on Thursday at a farmhouse in the Gwarin Baka area, under Ngaski Local Government Area.

According to a source who spoke with Arewa PUNCH, the victim was alone at the time, as other staff had closed for the day.

The attackers reportedly fired shots into the air to scare nearby residents and deter any rescue attempt before taking Ango to an unknown location.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

As of the time of this report, the abductors have not contacted the victim’s family, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

Efforts to reach the Kebbi State Police Public Relations Officer,
CSP Nafiu Abubakar, for comments were unsuccessful, as calls and messages went unanswered.

Notably, Ngaski Local Government Area has not previously been identified among the regions of Kebbi State with high incidences of banditry or kidnapping.
