US-based Activist, Sandra Duru, reveals alleged lies by Natasha
A United States-based Nigerian activist, Dr. Sandra Duru, has come forward with alarming revelations about the suspended Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
In a Facebook live session on Thursday night, Duru shared shocking details of how the embattled senator allegedly offered her N200 million to accuse Senate President Godswill Akpabio of organ harvesting when her sexual harassment claims failed to gain traction.
Duru, who also goes by the name “Prof. Mgbeke,” refuted Natasha’s claims that they had never communicated, providing evidence of phone interactions.
She labeled Natasha as a “pathological liar,” accusing her of making false statements as though she were “daft.”
In her broadcast, Duru explained how Natasha confided in her that to gain popularity in Nigeria, one needed to attack the current government, citing the country’s “gullible and hungry” population as a means to manipulate public opinion.
Duru further revealed that Natasha had told her she was working toward being either the Governor of Kogi or the Minister of Petroleum Resources.
According to Duru, Natasha revealed plans orchestrated by her sponsors to force Akpabio’s resignation, aiming to weaken President Bola Tinubu’s administration and hinder his re-election.
Duru also alleged that Natasha and her supporters had bribed Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, a former Minister of Education, to disrupt a Senate Ethics committee session in order to prevent the Kogi Senator from providing evidence for her sexual harassment claim against Akpabio.
Duru shared that Natasha had confessed that the sexual harassment allegations were fabricated.
She also expressed disappointment with Ezekwesili and Dr. Abiola for not defending her before the Senate committee.
During the live session, Duru displayed call logs and WhatsApp messages sent to her by Natasha.
She recounted how Natasha asked her to help spread the narrative that Senator Akpabio was involved in organ harvesting, even suggesting that Akpabio had killed a woman named Umoren and harvested her kidney for his wife.
According to Duru, Natasha’s primary goal was for Akpabio to step down as Senate President, believing he was protecting the Nigerian president.
Duru also mentioned that Natasha had named several sponsors funding her efforts, though she chose not to disclose their identities, as she had already shared the information with relevant authorities.
Natasha reportedly offered financial support for Duru to help write to agencies and propagate the organ harvesting story.
However, when Duru refused the money, Natasha allegedly threatened her.
While Duru refrained from revealing what Natasha had said about her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, she did mention that Natasha accused her husband of poisoning her and suggested she might retaliate in kind.
