The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has started disbursing upkeep allowances for April 2025 to eligible student beneficiaries nationwide.
This was confirmed on Monday by Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, Director of Corporate Communications for the fund.
“While most payments have been successfully processed, a small number of beneficiaries may experience delays due to a recent upgrade of our payment and application processing system,” the statement read.
“This upgrade aims to enhance security and ensure more timely disbursements in future payment cycles.”
NELFUND assured that it is collaborating closely with relevant stakeholders to swiftly address these issues and guarantee that all qualified students receive their entitlements without further delays.
“We remain committed to transparency, operational excellence, and the timely delivery of student support in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
We appreciate the patience and cooperation of all stakeholders as we continue to improve service delivery for the benefit of Nigerian students,” the statement added.
