Hamdiyyah Sharif, a prominent critic of Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu, has been reported missing.
Her lawyer, Abba Hikima, made the announcement on Wednesday via his official Facebook page. According to him, Sharif was last seen around 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday when she left her home in Sokoto to buy food items.
She has not returned or made contact since.
Hikima confirmed that the incident has been reported to the Sokoto State Police Command, and investigations may be underway.
