The Lagos State Taskforce arrested 30 suspected criminals during a routine operation targeting black spots in Agege on Tuesday night.

According to Jubril Gawat, Senior Assistant on New Media to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the arrests were made in areas including Isale Oja, AP Junction, and along the railway line.

Gawat stated, “As part of the ongoing Lagos State Taskforce Clean Up enforcement operation aimed at removing criminals from the state, the team conducted a raid around 10 p.m. on May 20, 2025.

The operation focused on known trouble spots where undesirable elements were spotted, especially near the railway tracks.

Thirty suspects were apprehended, and order was restored.”

The suspects are expected to be charged to court in due course.
