The Ondo State Police Command has initiated a search for the gunmen who abducted three individuals from Ogbese community in Akure North Local Government Area.

The victims were reportedly kidnapped while returning from a Bible study session at their church on Monday evening.

According to sources, the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of N15 million, asking for N5 million per victim.

The families of the abducted individuals have been contacted by the kidnappers with the ransom demand.

The incident was promptly reported to both the police and the Amotekun Corps in Ondo State.

Police Public Relations Officer Ayanlade Olayinka confirmed the abduction on Tuesday and stated that officers are currently combing the forests near the community in efforts to rescue the victims.

“Our men are already in the bush around the said community,” Olayinka said, adding that investigations into the case are ongoing.
