A suspected group of herdsmen launched a deadly attack on Tse Yange, a Tiv-majority village in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, late Sunday night.
The assailants, reportedly arriving on motorcycles, stormed the rural community under the cover of darkness, killing the village head and abducting an unspecified number of residents.
Local sources told DAILY POST that the attackers operated into the early hours of Monday, leaving several people injured and forcing many residents to flee their homes.
While details remain sketchy, authorities have yet to confirm the total number of those kidnapped or wounded in the incident.
