Pastor Enenche turns down N30m donation from Kebbi Gov

Dr Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has declined a N30 million cash donation presented by Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris during a church crusade held in the state.

The offer was made at the Kebbi Healing and Deliverance Crusade through the state’s Commissioner for Social Duties, Zayyanu Umar Aliero, who represented the governor.

Aliero announced that the money had been approved for the crusade’s organising committee and was ready to be handed over in cash.

“Our Governor, His Excellency Dr Nasir Idris, has graciously approved N30 million for this crusade,” Aliero declared.

“As is customary with him, the donation is here in cash and ready to be delivered.”

However, Pastor Enenche politely rejected the offer.

Stepping up to the podium, he urged that the money be directed instead toward charitable efforts.

“If there is an orphanage or any similar need, kindly apply this money there. It will not be received by us,” he said firmly.

Later addressing the crowd, Enenche clarified the church’s position, stressing that public resources should remain strictly for public service.

“We strongly believe that government funds should be used for government responsibilities, just as church resources should serve church purposes. We don’t mix the two,” he stated.

He added that no public funds were used in constructing the Dunamis Glory Dome, noting that the project was fully financed through church contributions.

Emphasising the importance of financial integrity, Enenche suggested that the donation be routed instead through a recognised religious institution such as the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board or the Christian Association of Nigeria.

“This helps the church maintain its voice, its dignity, and its independence when it matters most,” he said.

In response, Aliero expressed understanding and appreciation for the pastor’s decision.

“They rejected the donation because his service is for God.

We respect and thank him for the good work he’s doing in Kebbi State,” Aliero said.
