The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has named Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, a former Minister of Sports and close ally of ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki, as its Interim National Publicity Secretary.

Abdullahi will join forces with former Senate President David Mark and ex-Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola in leading the party’s national affairs.

Other key appointments include Chief Anayo Arinze as Interim Deputy National Chairman (South) and Alhaji Ibrahim Manzo as Interim Deputy National Chairman (North).

The appointments are seen as part of a broader move by an opposition coalition to adopt the ADC as a unified political platform ahead of the 2027 general elections, positioning the party as a major challenger to President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
