The Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, has called for the criminal prosecution of auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe in connection with the death of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.
Delivering the verdict on Friday, Magistrate C.A. Shotobi found that the nurse acted with gross negligence by administering an injection to the late artist without a valid doctor’s prescription.
While the court ruled out homicide or foul play, it concluded that Ogedengbe’s conduct was both unlawful and professionally negligent.
“In line with Section 29 of the Coroner Laws of Lagos State, this court recommends that the Director of Public Prosecution initiate legal proceedings against Felicia Ogedengbe for engaging in unlawful medical practice and exhibiting gross negligence,” Magistrate Shotobi declared.
