Indian authorities have arrested a Nigerian woman for drug trafficking while travelling by road between Delhi and Bangalore.
According to The Indian Express, the arrest was carried out by the Pune Regional Unit of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), following a tip-off. Officers seized 3.8 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine—commonly known as meth—valued at Rs 7.6 crore (approximately ₦1.4 billion).
A preliminary test confirmed the substance was amphetamine, prompting the woman’s arrest under India’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
Authorities have since launched an investigation into the wider drug network, including the source, distribution links, and possible accomplices connected to the suspect.
