A 41-year-old woman, Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, was discovered dead on Friday inside the main auditorium of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Prayer City, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, in what appears to be a case of suicide.

The church’s Chief Security Officer, Esiere Ekikere, said he received a distress call around 7:20 a.m. reporting an unconscious woman lying inside the worship centre.

On arrival, she was found unresponsive, with an empty bottle of a substance suspected to be Sniper, a toxic pesticide, beside her.

Police officers were quickly alerted and arrived to document the scene, including taking photographs for investigative purposes.

The body was later removed and taken to the morgue at Real Divine Hospital, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Police have since opened an investigation to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
